I may be a film festival volunteer, but I’m also an attendee.

Today tickets went on sale for the Toronto International Film Festival.

Though technically, 's the tickets that were left over from all the advance orders from people who had passes and coupon books.  As such, I would estimate that approx 40% of films (mostly in the first half of the festival) were sold out.

Today I redeemed the volunteer voucher I received at the volunteer training session to get a ticket for a film playing on Monday called “The Dog Problem,” which is directed by Scott Caan and stars Giovanni Ribisi.

THAT was the easy one.  I will receive four more vouchers:  Two on the weekend, one on Tuesday, and one next Friday.  As such, I have to play my cards right on how I will redeem these vouchers.  Chances are, any other films I see will be towards the end of the festival, since that will have the least sold out screenings.

Either way, I shall enjoy “The Dog Problem” on Monday and worry about other films then.
