This Week in Movies – April 11, 2008

This week there is no movies that I’m anxious to go see, so it may end up being a coin-flip among the major releases.

First there is the crime drama Street Kings staring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker. The film is about an LAPD cop, who is forced to question his loyalties.

The second major release and the film I’d most likely be checking out is Smart People, a comedy with Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker, Thomas Haden Church, and Ellen Page.

Rounding out the new releases is the “remake in name only” Prom Night, which is notable for being a slasher film without any of the slashing (it’s rated PG-13).

And that’s this week in movies.
