Trailer Thoughts: The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

This week I will look at the trailer for the third instalment of the successful series starting Brendan Fraser.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

It is easy to be skeptical of a film that is obviously being made as a cash-in for the series.

However, by the looks of this trailer, it looks like the film wouldn’t be too different from the others. The only thing that really sticks out like a sore thumb is Maria Bello replacing Rachel Weisz. It’s probably bad enough having an American actress play a British character, but Bello looks absolutely NOTHING like Weisz (other than she changed he hair colour). Well, at least John Hannah is back.

In the end, I’ll probably reserve all judgement on this film until it comes out in August.
