Box Office Thoughts for the Weekend of October 17, 2008

Max Payne was the top film last weekend with an estimated gross of $18M. This knocks the number one for the previous two weeks, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, down to second with an estimated gross of $11.2M.

As for the other new films, The Secret Life of Bees was in third place with an estimated $11.1M, W. opened in forth with an estimated $10.6M, Sex Drive opened in ninth with $3.5M, and What Just Happened, playing in just 36 theatres, opened in 25th place with an estimated $216K.

And that’s the box office thoughts for this week.
