Classic Thoughts: The Lost Boys

There is quite a vampire revival going on with the successes of Twilight and the HBO series True Blood.

This revival (and the season premiere of True Blood) resulted in quite a few vampire films being shown this month OnDemand.

Of those, I decided to check out the 80s classic The Lost Boys.

The film is essentially a combination of a vampire horror film and 80s teen movies. The film also moves back and forth from a dramatic scenes with Jason Patrick and Kiefer Sutherland to the more comedic ones with Corey Haim and Corey Feldman.

Overall the film probably goes along with St. Elmos Fire as one of Joel Schumacher’s most memorable films and it is worth a look.
