News: Avatar Backlash Already?

Source: FirstShowing

Last week, the hype was supposed to start big time of Jame Cameron’s upcoming film Avatar. As you know, the response for the free “Avatar Day” preview was so big that is crashed the official website’s servers.

Then the trailer came out.

Apparently the reactions to the trailer was mixed and it resulted in people thinking twice about going to the Avatar Day preview, which, in some areas, were showing to half-empty crowds.

Also, James Cameron himself was apparently not happy that the trailer was released a day before the preview.

A lot of the blame can be put more on Fox than the film, since they both decided to release the trailer early and they were not prepared for the fan-reaction to the preview.

That said, I personally have been reeled in to the Avatar hype and I actually look forward to checking out the film in IMAX 3D.
