News: Cabin in the Woods Delayed for 3D

Source: /Film

This makes no sense.

In February a horror film entitled The Cabin in the Woods was scheduled to be released.  The film was co-written by Joss Whedon and it was getting some good buzz.

However, it seems that MGM believe that what the film was missing was a huge dose of 3D, so the film will be delayed for a year in order to be converted and the final product will not surface until January 2011.

I have to say that I was curious about this film and I have to wonder why, if the film was doing well in test screenings, didn’t MGM give the film a shot instead of wasting a whole year with a unnecessary 3D conversion?
