DVD Pick of the Day: Attack the Block

I’m a little late with this one, but I thought that I should still talk about my latest blu-ray purchase, the excellent British alien thriller Attack the Block.

The disc is actually quite well featured, including a feature-length making-of documentary, as well as smaller features dealing with the creature effects, cast members, and descriptions of scenes that were not filmed.  Rounding the features off are the usual filmmaker and cast commentaries.

Blu-Ray – $24.99 (CND), $22.99 (US)
Standard DVD – $19.99 (CND), $17.49 (US)
Film Thoughts: A fun film that is able to move back and forth between a serious sci-fi/horror film and a comedy.
Film Rating: 9/10
