Chiming in on Shorts That Are Not Pants

This even I checked out the third edition of the Shorts That Are Not Pants short film showcase.  Hosted (for the final time) at the NFB Mediatheque we were shown a programme of nine films, ranging from 5 minute animated shorts to 20 minute narratives.

I had already seen one of the shorts, the Oscar-nominated A Morning Stroll, however that short was quite a joy to watch and I would happily watch it 100 times.  Some other highlights of the evening included Tumult – about some out of place vikings, Bang – a short that quickly gets to the point, and (Notes on) Biology – a fun short feature the awesomeness that is Roboelephant.

Overall it was an entertaining little showcase and I would highly recommend checking out the next edition of Shorts That Are Not Pants when it occurs next October.
