2016 has turned into quite the terrible year when it comes to celebrity deaths and probably the most tragic is today's news that actor Anton Yelchin has died in a car accident today at the all two young age of 27. My first exposure to Yelchin was in the 2006 thriller Alpha Dog, where he played kidnapped teen Zack Mazursky. He would later become best known for playing the young Pavel Chekov in 2009's Star Trek and its sequels, including this summer's Star Trek Beyond, as well as the 2011 Fright Night remake. Some other notable roles for Anton Yelchin include 2007's Charlie Bartlett, 2011's Like Crazy, 2013's Only Lovers Left Alive, and 2015's Green Room. This is undoubtedly a tragic loss and Anton Yelchin will be missed.
