A criminal gets amnesia following a drug deal gone bad. Moe (Liam Hemsworth) and Skunk (Emory Cohen) are low-level money launderers working for Skunk’s uncle Perico (Zlatko Buric). Deciding to make some money on a side, Skunk decides to participate in a heroin deal with a local contact. However, the drug deal turns out to be a set-up, as a group of corrupt cops lead by Leon Duffo (Nickola Shreli). Driving off with the drugs and money, Moe gets into a car crash and wakes up with amnesia. With no memory of who he is, Moe and Skunk try to make a getaway before the corrupt cops catch up with them.
Killerman is a gritty crime-thriller, starring Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) as an amnesiac criminal, trying to regain his memory, while also staying one set ahead of corrupt cops. I have to admit that while the film is competently directed by filmmaker Malik Bader, I didn’t really find Killerman to be all that exciting the film, even as it reaches its violent climax. Overall, Killerman is a film that somewhat faded from my mind after the credits rolled.
