Trailer: Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

paranormalactivitymarkedones Every year, I weep a little bit more for the original Paranormal Activity, which I first saw and loved just over four years ago.  The film was a very effective independent horror film, of which its legacy is being bogged down by yearly sequels.  While Paranormal Activity 5 isn’t scheduled to be released for a full year, the producers have decided to make a spin-off entitled Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, which is scheduled to be released on January 3.  Probably the most notable element I got from the trailer for the film is that it changes up the Paranormal Activity formula a bit, becoming less about filming the activity at night and more about events centred around a certain individual.  I’m on the fence about whether I’ll actually see this film, but at least I applaud the producers for trying something different.
