Sunday Afternoon Netflix Documentary: We Live in Public

In a change from the more well-known documentaries I’ve been watching, today I watched this documentary about internet pioneer Harris.

We Live in Pubic focuses on Josh Harris, who was one of the early internet pioneers and was apparently one of the first to create a website with streaming videocasts.

He was also a firm believer in the eventual loss of privacy.  In the late 1990s and early 2000s he conducted a series of voyeurism experiments that him filming a group of people (and later himself and his girlfriend) for 24/7.

Josh Harris would get lost following the dotcom crash and has since long left the world of computers, even though some of his prophesies involving the loss of privacy have started to come true.

Interesting film.
