The rise of NBA star Stephen Curry is told in Stephen Curry: Underrated. In November 2021, Stephen Curry, point guard of the Golden State Warriors, beat the record previously held by Ray Allen for the most 3-pointers made in NBA history. However, Curry had to fight for his position, as he spent his entire career being told he was undersized to play professional basketball. His journey began in the mid-2000s, as he became the star player for the Davidson College Wildcats.

ToggleStephen Curry: Underrated Synopsis
Stephen Curry: Underrated is a sports documentary directed by Peter Nicks, which looks back at the career of NBA star Stephen Curry, who led the Golden State Warriors to four NBA Championships. The film is set during the 2021-2022 NBA season, depicting the events leading to Curry winning his fourth championship. The film also rewinds to Stephen Curry's college years with the Davidson Wildcats, which included a monumental 2008 run in the NCAA March Madness. Stephen Curry ended up leaving Davidson College a year early to enter the NBA Draft in 2009, and the film depicts his present-day attempt the finally get his degree.
My Thoughts on Stephen Curry: Underrated
Stephen Curry: Underrated is a typical underdog sports story covering the nearly two-decade-long basketball journey of Stephen Curry. The film structures the present-day story as somewhat of a comeback for Curry and the Golden State Warriors, who fought back during a tough season to win Curry's fourth NBA Championship three years after their previous winning streak was, quite ironically for me, broken by the Toronto Raptors beating the Warriors in 2019. Ultimately, Stephen Curry: Underrated is a documentary that should be enjoyed by both fans of Stephen Curry and basketball fans in general.
