Biography
Samantha Castillo, Venezuelan actress, was born on March 12th, 1980, in Los Teques, Venezuela.
Her acting career began more than 20 years ago, Samantha has a Bachelors degree in Arts from Central University of Venezuela, and additional acting training in different techniques and schools in Venezuela and Cuba.
She started her acting career doing Theater, she premiered on the big screen with "Pelo Malo" (Winner of the Concha de Oro at the San Sebastian Film Festival 2013), obtaining huge worldwide recognition for her performance in the character of "Marta", for which she was nominated and winner in a dozen Festivals.
She performed the Leading Role in 4 films in different parts of the world "Le Badanti", "La Migliori età " from Italy, "El Malquerido", where she was also awarded, and "El Amparo", where she filmed in extreme conditions on the border of Venezuela.
Now we can see her performing in "Buscando a Frida" a new Argos production for Netflix and in the Mini TV-Series "Cecilia" where she performs as "Sara" on HBO.
This 2022 we are going to be able to see her performing in the film by Michelle Garza Cervera "Hueseras" playing the character of "Carolina", and in the new project of Isaac Ezban "Mal de Ojo" where she plays the leading role.
