Bringing on classmates Guillaume (Louka Bélanger-Leos) and Ernestine (Simone Laperle) as lawyers, Justine hopes to prove that divorce is the best thing to happen to her family. The family of the 12-year-old protagonist Justine hasn't been the same since her mother had a miscarriage. With her parents constantly fighting, Justine believes it might be best if her parents just divorce. This results in Justine developing an elaborate plan to stage a trial of her parents during the school talent show. My Thoughts on How to Get My Parents to Divorce How to Get My Parents to Divorce is a cute film looking at divorce from a kid's perspective. There's a scene in the movie with Justine and her "lawyer," Guillaume getting testimonies about the positives of divorce from other kids at their school. While ultimately a lighthearted film, How to Get My Parents to Divorce does tackle some serious issues and is ultimately a joy to watch.
