Classic Thoughts: Goldfinger
Jodie Foster Teaches Filmmaking
Sorry for the lateness of this week’s Classic Thoughts. While James Bond is still on everyone’s mind, I thought I would take a look at what is probably my favourite of the handful of Bond films I’ve seen.
Goldfinger was the third film of the series and it firmly establishes all the elements we relate to Bond. This includes visits to Q-Branch, a megalomaniac of a villain, a memorable henchman, and a Bond girl, whose name is a pun.
Sean Connery‘s career was created with James Bond, even though he only appeared in three more (official) Bond films after this film.
Goldfinger is definitely worth checking out.
