DVD Pick of the Day: Drive

drive

I still have quite a big backlog from Christmas, so I am being extra picky choosy about purchasing new discs for my collection.  However, if there was one film I was most definitely going to get, it was going to be Drive.

There is not much in the way of on-disc special features.  There is only really an interview with director Nicolas Winding Refn, along with four behind-the-scenes featurettes (I Drive, Under the Hood, Driver and Irene, and Cut to the Chase).  In fact, the most impressive inclusion with this Blu-Ray set is the inclusion of a 30 page mini-magazine, printed by Little White Lies.  It was definitely a nice little inclusion.

Details:
Blu-Ray/DVD Combo – $29.99 (CND)
Blu-Ray – $19.99 (US)
Standard DVD – $19.97 (CND), $16.99 (US)
Amazon Instant Video – $3.99US (Rent), $14.99US (Buy)
Film Thoughts: A gripping film with an excellent retro soundtrack.
Film Rating: 9/10
