Golden Globes Wrap-up

TheSocialNetwork

Last night at the Golden Globes The Social Network ended up being the big winner with four wins, including Best Picture – Drama, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Score.

I had great success with my predictions as I correctly guessed 9 out of 14 of the winners.

Now it’s time for a very interesting Oscar race.  In year’s past, the Golden Globe winner would win at the Oscars a little over half the time.  However, in the last five years or so, only one of the Golden Globe winners (Slumdog Millionaire) went on to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

While The Social Network is now a solid frontrunner in the Best Picture race, I am still putting my faith behind The King’s Speech and I still believe that it will win come Oscar day.
