It is now time to take a look a the films that open just before the start of the summer movie season.

I found that with the exception of Superbad, I have enjoyed the films directed better than the ones he produced.

However, I’m really looking forward to seeing this film, which looks to be this years’ Knocked Up.

Other Picks for the Month
Leatherheads – April 4
This comedy about football in the 1920s is supposed to influenced by the old screwball comedies. It’s that thought alone that will make me see this film.

Shine a Light – April 4
follows up The Departed with a documentary on The Rolling Stones. I plan on seeing this film in IMAX.

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay – April 25
The first film was a pleasant surprise and I’m looking forward to checking out the sequel.

88 Minutes – April 18
Real time “beat the clock” thrillers are nothing new. However, this new one with seems intriguing enough to check out.

The Forbidden Kingdom – April 18
Jet-Li and . Than would be enough to make me consider this film.

Where in the World is Osama Bin Ladan? – April 18
From the maker of Supersize Me comes another “infotanment” documentary about the search for .

Not Really Interested
The Ruins – April 4
When the trailer makes you squeamish, you know that you should probably avoid the film.

Prom Night – April 11
A PG-13 rated remake of a slasher film? No Thanks.
