My Top Ten Films of the Decade: #2 Memento

Before he gained mainstream fame with the new Batman films, Christopher Nolan made a well-acclaimed indie thriller starring as a man who can’t remember more than a few minutes.

The story is intriguing in its format, which moves in a reverse-chronological order.  This means that you already know what happens to the characters at the very beginning, but the film slowly puts together the pieces of how we ended up at this point.

This is definitely one of the most cerebral films of the decade.
