getsmart posterIt was definitely a smart weekend at the Box Office. Here are the estimates:

  1. Get Smart – $39.2M
  2. Kung Fu Panda – $21.7M
  3. The Incredible Hulk – $21.6M
  4. The Love Guru – $14M
  5. The Happening – $10M
  6. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – $8.41M

Get Smart had a decent opening of $39.2M. It’s not the best opening, but it is sure better that The Love Guru, which only made $14M.

Last week’s number one film, The Incredible Hulk, dropped to third place with a gross of $21.6M, while Kung Fu Panda holds firm at second place, making an additional $21.7M.

M Night Shyamalan’s The Happening made an addition $10M, which guarantee it a high gross than Lady in the Water, however the film seems unlikely of breaking the $100M mark.

Finally, even though it is now in ninth place with a gross of $4M, Iron Man now has a total gross of $305M making it the biggest hit of the summer. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is not far behind with a total gross of $291M.

And that’s the Box Office Thoughts for the Week.
