Here is today’s movie news round-up.

Visit Camp Crystal Lake

(Source: ScreenCrush) For the hardcore Friday the 13th fans out there, you have a chance to tour the Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco Boy Scout camp, where the original film was shot, with a chance for a VIP overnight experience attended by actress Adrienne King. These tours have been occurring since May 13, 2011 and this year’s event will be taking place on April 13th and 14th. More information can be found at https://www.crystallaketours.com/

to be Shown Free to Underprivileged Children

(Source: JoBlo) AMC Theaters and Color of Change are joining forces for Give A Child The Universe initiative, to coincide with the release of Ava DuVernay’s film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time. Through this initiative, patrons are encouraged to purchase and donate tickets for the movie, which will be distributed to underprivileged kids through local partners, schools and community-based establishments. Given the price of movie tickets these days, this definitely a great move by AMC.

Wauconda, Illinois Getting Calls About

(Source: CinemaBlend) This news is actually quite humorous. Following the box office success of Black Panther, the small town of Wauconda, Illinois has been victims of prank calls to the mayor’s office and town hall. The town has a population of only 13,758 and those in the down hope that the excitement will eventually calm down. This new somewhat mirrors what happened to the town of Burkittsville, Maryland after the release of The Blair Witch Project in 1999. Hopefully, the town of Wauconda will one day get some peace, though it probably won’t be happening anytime soon.
