A young woman tries to piece her life back together following a demonic possession in Ava’s Possessions. Ava () has spent the last 28 days being possessed by a demon. Soon after being exorcised by Father Merrino (John Ventimiglia), Ava begins to realize the level of damage she caused and her lawyer JJ Samson () advises that she attend a “spirit possession ” support group or face jail time. Meanwhile, Ava begins to realize that she may have done something really terrible while she was possessed and tries to locate clues to figure out exactly what it was.

Ava’s Possessions is a horror-comedy that takes place in a world where demonic possession is apparently a enough occurrence that there are support groups for people who have experienced it. Ava quickly finds her life falling apart following her demonic possession. Her parents ( and ) somehow blame her life style for being possessed, her boyfriend broke up with her, and she faces possible charges for the destruction she caused. At the same time, Ava tries to piece together an event that happened in her apartment, which leads her to handsome gallery owner ().

Ava’s Possessions is a very light-hearted film, which looks at the unintentional consequences that may be experienced by people who have experienced a demonic possession. While some like Ava don’t want to experience this again, others like her friend Hazel () found the experience to be an addictive rush that they can’t wait to try again. The whole concept behind Ava’s Possessions is actually quite great, even if the film is lacking a bit in execution. While it is far from perfect, Ava’s Possessions is overall a pretty OK demonic possession comedy.
