X-Men: First Class

It’s been a little over 11 years since X-Men became the first successful adaptation of a Marvel comic property and spawned a decade long craze in comic book films.

can be both described as a prequel and reboot to the original series.  For people who only know X-Men from the previous films, they would only really familiar with four of the X-Men in this film (plus one funny cameo).

The film focuses mainly on the back-stories of Charles Xavier and Magneto, played by and in this film.  While it’s essentially a new origin story (with a lot of training scenes), there is still a fair amount of action in the film, as the fledgling X-Men faces the threat of the evil Sebastian Shaw ().

The film is definitely a return to form for the X-Men series and I would be interested in seeing further films with the first class of X-Men.
