Table of Contents

explores the inner workings of the human mind in . How the mind works is still one of the greatest mysteries of science. Werner Herzog speaks to many scientists researching how thoughts are created and how they can be manipulated using technology.

We have surpassed the point in the documentaries of Werner Herzog, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, where his films become less about the subject he is covering about more about Herzog’s narration about the topic. There is one moment in Theatre of Thought where Herzog narrates about not understanding the science babble of one of his interview subjects.

Probably the most interesting thing to come out of Theatre of Thought is how close science fiction has come to science fact when it comes to manipulating brainwaves to move a robotic arm or even reverse the effects of Parkinson’s. While Theatre of Thought is far from the best of Werner Herzog’s documentaries, it is still an interesting voyage into the mind.
