Shadow

foodies The growing group of bloggers, who visit and critique fine dining restaurants are profiled in .  There is now a large number of people who travel and dine at Michelin-starred restaurants and blog about their experiences.  These bloggers are changing the culinary world, since restaurants are able to get instant feedback.  A number of these bloggers are followed around the world, as they visit some of the best restaurants. Foodies features everyone from the former owner of a hip-hop label to a fashion model, who all share a love of food and take up the hobby of food blogging.  While most people eat for pleasure and sustenance, nobody really stops to think of food on an intellectual level.  Some of these bloggers want to change that and have food be considered an art-form.  While many restaurants will welcome these very influential bloggers with open arms, and often let them eat for free, there are still some restaurant owners who are critical of these non-serious journalists' sense of self-importance. As a film blogger, it was very interesting watch a film about food bloggers, since we're alike in some ways.  Bloggers are not traditional journalists, yet in this digital age, their opinions are becoming just as important, if not more.  Foodies is definitely not a film to watch on an empty stomache, since there are many mouth-watering dishes on display.  However, there are also some dishes featured in the film, which are just plain weird.  That said, Foodies is still a quite interesting watch for food lovers. ★ ★ ★ ★ | LIKED IT Screenings:
