This Week in Movies – April 6-12

MirrorMirror 1

With both the Easter weekend and my 30th birthday coming up this week, I’m going to be quite busy.  Though, there’s always time for some movies.

New Releases

  • Mirror Mirror (April 10) – Based on good word of mouth, I decided to give this very whimsy adaptation of Snow White a try. In fact, I’ve decided to make it my “traditional birthday movie” for this year (beats the low-key comedies I usually see).
  • Bully (April 7) – For the actual weekend, I’ve decided that I will see this documentary that everyone is talking about.  Is it really worth all the fuss generated by the ratings controversy in the U.S.?
Repertory
  • Vampire’s Kiss (April 7) – Concluding the retrospective at the Bell Lightbox is this film that has Cage running around screaming “I’M A VAMPIRE!” (at least according to the trailer).
