Another highlight of the TIFF Docs selection is the North American premiere of ‘ American Dharma, which profiles Trump adviser . The ever interesting , along with co-director André Singer, returns to TIFF with his new documentary Meeting Gorbachev, featuring intimate conversations with the former Soviet head of state. Another TIFF Docs highlight is Quincy, a profile of legendary music producer , co-directed by his daughter , along with Alan Hicks. A TIFF Docs selection wouldn’t seem complete without a new observational piece by Frederick Wiseman, with him returning this year with Monrovia, Indiana, a profile of a small town that tilted the 2016 election.
