The Audience Choice award winners of the 2012 Toronto After Dark Film Festival were announced today. The awards were decided by either post-screening ballots or polls of over 100 all-access pass buyers. The fan-favourite zombie comedy Cockneys vs. Zombies won the gold award for Best Feature film, followed by Dead Sushi (silver) and A Fantastic Fear of Everything(bronze). The gold award for Best Canadian Short Film went to the faux trailer Bio-Cop, and was followed by A Pretty Funny Story (silver) and Frost (bronze). The gold award for Best International Short Film went to the sci-fi short Henri, followed by Vicki (silver) and Numbers (bronze). As it so happens, all three of the major award winners also topped my own list of favourite films. In the specialty categories, American Mary came up on top with 6 awards, including Best Director, Best Actress and Best Canadian Feature. This is followed by Resolution with four awards and Citadel with three awards. Full list of Toronto After Dark Award Winners
