DVD Pick of the Day: Source Code

Today I picked up Source Code, Duncan Jones excellent follow-up to his debut film Moon.

(Updated July 28) The blu-ray features an Audio Commentary, as well as an “Access Source Code” mode, which plays the following special features during the playing of the movie (not that different than Warner Bros “Maximum Movie Mode”): Cast and Crew Insights, Expert Intel, Focal Points, Did You Know?, and Tales of Time Travel.  An interesting feature of this mode is that you can choose which of these features play during the film (so you don’t have to have a distracting video come up if you don’t wish).

Source Code
Blu-Ray – $22.99 (CAN), $17.99 (US)
Standard – $19.99 (CAN), $3.99 (US)
Film Thoughts: A Groundhog Day-style film with many interesting twists and turns.  Features a great sci-fi ending.
Film Rating: 9/10
