Top Ten Films of 2008

Throughout the week, I created separate top ten list to give credit to films that otherwise wouldn’t have made the cut for my overall list.

It was an interesting experiment and I may consider making the week-long top ten lists an annual thing.

Now without further ado, here are my top ten films of 2008!

The effects in this film are great and the story is touching. David Fincher has surprised with this one.

3. Frost/Nixon

It is amazing to watch and go at it in this film. I am sure this will be one to beat at the Oscars.

DarkKnightPoster2. The Dark Knight

It is possible that Christopher Nolan has created the film that will be known as one of the most successful comicbook films ever made. It has to say something when a film like this gets Oscar buzz.

TheWrestler poster1. The Wrestler

This is not my top film just because I am a fan of professional wrestling. It is a powerful character study of a man that can’t seem to find a normal life outside of the squared circle.

In a world where real-life wrestler’s die before their time, this film can be viewed as a cautionary tale.

It will be a shame if doesn’t at least get a Best Actor nomination for the film.

Until next year!!
