It a bitter of a shocking development, the family film Beverly Hills Chihuahua topped the box office with an estimated gross of $29M. I guess the kids love small dogs that talk with Spanish accents.
Last week’s top film, Eagle Eye, dropped to second place with an estimated gross of $17.7M.
Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist was the only other new film to open in the top ten. It opened in third place with an estimated gross of $12M.
Flash of Genius opened in eleventh with an estimated gross of $2.3M, Blindness opened in twelfth with an estimated gross of $2M, and How to Lose Friends and Alienate People opened in nineteenth place with an estimated gross of only $1.4.
And that’s the box office thoughts for this week.
