Colin Bates

BiographyColin Bates is an British-American actor, dancer, and singer who started his career playing the title role in Stephen Daldry's "Billy Elliot the Musical" on the West End. He is a graduate of The Juilliard School in NYC. Bates appears in Luca Guadagnino's "Queer", which he attended Venice Film Festival in support of. He just completed Brad Ingelsby's upcoming Untitled HBO Task Force Series, led by Mark Ruffalo. On Broadway, Bates recently appeared in the Tony award winning production of "Girl From The North Country". Colin speaks French and has appeared in numerous French films, including the Berlin Film Festival Silver Bear winner, "The Prayer". In "Nice Talking to You", a film which premiered at SXSW, Colin uses Sign Language. He trained with the Royal Ballet in his childhood, as well as several other reputable ballet companies. Colin plays guitar and was member of the band Aelios.
