Courtney Deelen
BiographyCourtney Deelen is an award winning director, actor and producer based in Toronto, Canada. A Norfolk County native with a degree in Musical Theatre Performance who was once a famed Dawson City Gertie Girl and now Co-Founder of DEELEN with TROUBLE, Inc. Her latest short film, The Last of Ian Campbell premiered at the Oscar and BAFTA qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival and was recently acquired by CBC for distribution. Courtney is a proud member of both ACTRA Toronto and the CMPA, who's on-screen credits include: Good Witch, Suits, Murdoch Mysteries, Becoming Burlesque, Reign and 12 Monkeys. She had the pleasure of co-producing the acclaimed CFC's Actors Conservatory Showcase in 2018, is a faculty member of St. Clair College's Music Theatre Performance program, a grant recipient of the Ontario Arts Council, and a finalist of both the Cayle Chernin Awards ( 2018 / 2021 ) and the 2019 TAWC short film creation lab.
While not juggling dog-mom duties to her boys Gus and Moose, Courtney is busy developing her feature film, and 9-episode web-series through her production company, DwT.
