Danilo Reyes
 
BiographyDanilo Reyes is a Toronto-based actor and musician. He's best known for his work in the 2019 film, Black Gold: Original Hard Oilers, which earned him a win for Best Actor in the New York Film Awards, Best Ensemble Cast for the Global Film Awards and a nomination for Best Actor in the Queen Palm International Film Festival. He's also worked with well-known Canadian filmmaker, Warren Sonoda in his 2020 film, Things I Do for Money. Danilo has trained with Lewis Baumander, Earl Nanhu, David Rotenberg and Second City Improv Academy. Danilo trained for 10 years in classical Piano and has always gravitated towards the arts. However he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University and a career in corporate marketing. After several years in the corporate environment, his passion for artistic endeavors led him to leave the industry and pursue acting and creative opportunities in digital marketing and photography. He was born and raised in Brampton, ON to a Jamaican father and Filipino mother and is based in Toronto, ON.
