BiographyMarissa Anita is an Indonesian actress, known for her work in Ali and the Queens (Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens), Impetigore ("Perempuan Tanah Jahanam"), Gundala, and Solo Solitude ("Istirahatlah Kata-Kata"). She won the Best Supporting Actress from Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) in 2021 for her role as Mia Harrington in Ali and the Queens. She received two nominations in the same category from Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) in 2020 for her role as Dini in Impetigore, and in 2017 for her role as Tantri in Galih & Ratna. Marissa made her stage debut in a Jakarta production of A.R. Gurney's The Dining Room in 2005. She also acted in a Sydney Australia production of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along in 2007, as well as in numerous theatre productions in Jakarta. Marissa is of West Sumatran, East Javan, and Chinese descent. She speaks Indonesian and English fluently and has studied French, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. She has master's degrees in journalism, and digital media and society, from Australia and the UK. She is also a television journalist and presenter and YouTube content creator for Greatmind.id.
