Paul Butterworth
BiographyPaul Butterworth's acting career started at Central, London in the 1970s and he's worked in British film and TV ever since. You may have seen him as Barry in The Full Monty, or more recently as Richard in Allelujah and Michael Ellacott in Strike.
In October 2024 he filmed a beautiful two-hander scene playing Mr Jarvis with Semantha Morton for the new Daniel day-Lewis film Anenome. And at the other end of the scale a TV comedy pitch playing Colin the office manager directed by Fabia Martin.
Paul Butterworth is originally from Yorkshire but he based in Cambridge these days.
If you are a director or producer in need of an older northern actor and a safe pair of hands, then he would be grateful if you would consider him.
Paul Butterworth is a full voting BAFTA member.
He holds a BA in English and History from Leeds Beckett University (1988) and a BA (Hons) Painting 2:1 from the University for the Creative Arts (2024).
