BiographyConsidered by many critics to be one of the greatest living Portuguese actresses, Rita Blanco (born 11 January 1963) is a Portuguese actress and voice actress. She has appeared in more than 50 films and television shows since 1983. She starred in the film Ganhar a Vida (2001), which was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. She was also in the Oscar Winning film Amour (2012).
Rita Blanco already won 4 Portuguese Golden Globes for Best Actress with Ganhar a Vida (2001), Blood of My Blood (2011), The Gilded Cage (2013) and Fátima (2017).
Rita Blanco was called as "empathetic brilliant actress" by the Screen Realm, "seasoned veteran" by The Sydney Morning Herald and the "Lusophone arthouse darling" by The Hollywood Reporter.
