BiographyYann Gael is a French-Cameroonian television, film and theater actor born in Garoua, Cameroon. Yann attended CNSAD (French National Academy of Drama) in Paris. He is known for leading the first African francophone Netflix series Sakho & Mangane (2019). And for the prestige period drama The French Dream (2017) that earned him the Best Male Actor Award at Festival Du Film De La Rochelle 2017. His latest feature Saloum (2021), premiered at Toronto Film Festival 2021. As he is wrapping up new Netflix series 1899 (2022) by the creators of Netflix hit Dark (2017).
