BiographyKordo Doski is a filmmaker, writer, and actor whose work explores themes of identity, migration, and community. He is the director of the award winning documentary, "Allihopa: The Dalkurd Story," a film that follows the Dalkurd football team, which was founded as a social project to keep Kurdish kids off the streets and has since become a symbol of Kurdish identity and resilience. Doski's unique perspective as a Kurdish refugee and former footballer brings a deeply personal touch to his portrayal of the team's struggles and triumphs. "Allihopa" had its world premiere at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, where it finished 2nd in the Audience awards in two separate categories. Doski is also the writer, director, and star of a narrative feature in post-production. Through his storytelling and advocacy work, Doski seeks to promote empathy and understanding across cultures and borders, highlighting the shared experiences and struggles of all humanity.
