DVD Picks – October 7, 2008

happening dvd 1It’s the time of year when horror films start coming out on DVD and this week is no exception with the release of ‘s The Happening (also on Blu-Ray). When I saw the film back in June, I said that even though it wouldn’t win back the fans Shyamalan lost, it is definitely his best film since Signs.

Also in the horror department is Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, which had a very limited theatrical release towards the end of the summer (I believed it only played for a week near me).

Also out this week is You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (also on Blu-Ray), which I thought was definitely Sandler’s funniest film in a long time.

The new Blu-Ray releases continue the horror theme with High-Def versions of Young Frankenstein, Interview with the Vampire, The Omen, and The Amityville Horror.

And that’s the DVD Picks for this week.
