Best Screenplay – Motion Picture
My Prediction: Frost/Nixon

Final Thoughts: It was here, I sensed a sweep.

Best Original Score – Motion Picture
My Prediction & Winner: Slumdog Millionaire
Final Thoughts: This is probably the only prediction involving this film that I made.

Best Original Song – Motion Picture
My Prediction: Down to Earth
Winner: The Wrestler
Final Thoughts: Both deserving songs

Best Animated Film
My Prediction & Winner: Wall-E
Final Thoughts: I would have had a fit if it didn’t win

In the end, Slumdog Millionaire’s surprise sweep resulted in me only getting 5 out of 14 predictions. That film is now officially a top contender for the Oscars and I am looking forward to the announcment of the nominees.
