There Will Be Blood stands as one of those most intriguing character studies about the corruption caused by greed. Seeing the character of Daniel Plainview’s transformation from a simple prospector to a greedy oil tycoon is haunting and really earned Daniel Day-Lewis his Oscar.
Of course, the film is also noted from adding the phrase “I drink your milkshake” to the pop culture landscape.
