This is really interesting news.
Thirty odd years after the release of Alien, Ridley Scott has officially signed on to return to the helm in a new prequel that is currently being written.
After Scott’s original, ever film in the Alien series had a new director, which resulted in a different style of film each time (for example, when James Cameron directed Aliens, the series went from sci-fi/horror to sci-fi/action).
I do say that I am very interested what Ridley Scott will do now that he’s returned to the series and I will look forward to the film whenever it comes out.
