Trailer: Insidious: Chapter 3
A teaser trailer has emerged for Insidious: Chapter 3, which is the latest entry of the horror series, involving the spirit world of “the further.” Screenwriter Leigh Whannell takes over for James Wan in the director’s chair, with a story touted to be the darkest chapter. Original cast members Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson are now out of the picture, as the series goes “back to the beginning” to an earlier haunting handled by the psychic medium Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye). I was somewhat underwhelmed by Insidious: Chapter 2 and this third film seems a bit more like a cash-in than a proper sequel. However, it also seems to be going back to basics somewhat and it might actually end up being a creepy follow-up. I guess I’ll find that out when Insidious: Chapter 3 opens on May 29, 2015.
