Trailer Thoughts: Fright Night

frightnight

Today we have the first trailer for the new remake of the 1985 vampire film Fright Night.

I never seen the original Fright Night, but from what I gather, this will be a much more darker film.  Colin Farrell takes over the role, played by in the original, of a vampire who moves next door to a teenage boy (played by ) and his family.

I do have to say that does come off as quite sinister in his vampire role and I am sure that he will likely be one of the best aspects of the film.  One thing that this trailer is missing is a good look of Doctor Who‘s David Tennant as the character of Peter Vincent, who was played by in the original.

Overall the film looks like it has promise and I will probably check it out when it opens in August.
