This week, we look at the first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s new film based on the anime-inspired Nickelodeon show Avatar: The Last Airbender.
I would say that taking a break from thrillers and making of film based on Avatar: The Last Airbender (the “Avatar” name couldn’t be used thanks to James Cameron’s upcoming film of the same name) is probably one of the best things M. Night Shyamalan can do to win back some mainstream appeal.
The trailer is only a teaser, however the film does look to be much more epic than anything Shyamalan has ever done and I’m really looking forward to checking out the final product.
The film doesn’t open until next summer, so I’m sure there will be a couple more trailers before then.
