Today we are going to look at the trailer for this biblical comedy by Judd Apatow and Harold Ramis.
By the looks of this trailer (and the funny spots that played during the Superbowl) one of the main jokes of this film is that it features modern humour in a biblical setting. Jack Black and Michael Cera are essentially playing the same characters they always play, even though they are supposed to be members of a primitive tribe.
The film also goes back to Harold Ramis’ roots after his last directorial effort (the dark comedy The Ice Harvest) did not fair so well. However, we have to wait until the film’s release on June 19 to see if it will reach the levels of Caddyshack or Groundhog Day.
