Teenagers in Finland participate in hobbyhorse competitions in . Traditionally viewed a children’s activity, many teenagers in Finland have taken this hobby to a new level, participating in hobbyhorse equestrian competitions. Mariam “Aisku” Njie, Elsa Salo and are three such hobbyhorseists and they strive for success in the hobby they love, without fear of scorn and bullying of those who don’t understand.

Hobbyhorse Revolution is a film about the growing trend of teenagers engaging in the hobby of making and riding hobbyhorses. By posting videos to social media and participating in competitions, hobbyhorseists have become a growing sensation. However, these teenagers are often bullied for this hobby and some of the girls featured have their own issues that they are dealing with. However, there is no denying that this is one unique hobby.

It can undoubtedly be said that hobbyhorse riding is a very unique and unconventional hobby to say the least. Featuring a mix of role play and participating in competitions with equestrian rules, this is a hobby that these teenagers take very seriously. Even though hobbyhorseists can seem odd to many people, Hobbyhorse Revolution is ultimately an inspirational film about doing what you love, no matter what other people think.
